Comic Book Cambion – GWAR Orgasmageddon

Alright Bohabs, this is my review of Dynamite Comics' GWAR Orgasmageddon Number 1 and it'll probably suck. Not because the comic is bad or anything, but I probably lack the evolutionary greatness to properly praise our Alien Space God Overlords in written form.

GWAR Orgasmageddon chronicles the current time travel adventures of everyone's favorite Antarctic Rock Band and their battle with the despicable Mr. Perfect. Be careful kiddies, this book (and series – I hope) has a Parental Advisory sticker on it, and while there's not a lot of sex, there is gratuitous violence and hard language – just what you'd expect from GWAR. And for complete bang for your buck, there's two other GWAR related shorts in the book. The Cover art is good … see?

… The writing is spot on for the characters – just load up your GWAR mp3s or whatever and crank them up loud when you read this and it's almost like being at a GWAR show … only drier. The book goes on sale next week so grab a NUMBER ONE ISSUE for your collection.

Now let's set the mood here at Outlaw D&D …

Did you know that former GWAR front-man, Oderus Urungus himself, the late, great Dave Brockie actually wrote an RPG adventure? Well, it wouldn't be Outlaw D&D if I didn't at least mention it. It's called the Towers Two and, much like GWAR itself – just ain't for the yunggins. But it is a cool romp and definitely worth checking out if you're a fan …
